CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL PET SERVICES began February 15, 2003 with a passion for animals.  While providing excellent care for our clients’ pets, we’re able to help those pets who are have yet to find their forever homes.

My name is Nickee Mixon and I am the co-owner/operator of Creatures Great and Small. I have always loved animals and have experience with a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, horses, birds, goats, rabbits, and orphaned wildlife. I have been a volunteer at a local animal shelter and have many pets of my own. I provide the same high quality care for others’ pets that I provide for my own.  My family and I have been active in animal rescue for about 15 years and we’ve been  rewarded through the animals and people we’ve gotten to know.

My husband, Tony, is a co-owner and part time sitter/dog runner. Porcher, our daughter, is a busy teenager, the VP of Pet Affairs and sitter. Both are avid animal lovers.

Jaki Cooks is a part-time pet sitter who first began with Creatures Great and Small in June 2005.  She lives with her husband, daughter, and pets including dogs, aquatic turtles, frog, parrots, and multiple fish.  Jaki works full time for a local energy company in the accounting department where scheduling and time management are of utmost importance.  Jaki has worked actively in animal rescue for almost ten years.   She enjoys caring for pampered pets in their homes as an off-set to the neglected animals she has come into contact with through her rescue work, although she feels that both are equally important and rewarding experiences and have shaped her views in a positive way. Jaki finds that workingwith animals is often times an entertaining experience and looks forward to caring for your pet!
We give 10% of all service fees to help animals in need and to the
